The View From Pluto: The Baseball Hall of Fame's Hits And Misses ...

Ack and Kiz still aren’t able to meet in person, but the streak of guests continues with AJ Flores joining the program. The topics go from very specific to us (Bullets heroics and playing for Mike Lauterhahn) to some broader interest things (choosing/playing D3, Independent baseball, and the progression of youth/AAU baseball). To close out the show, we talk about AJ’s favorite defensive shortstop of all time (and Hall of Fame hopeful) Omar Vizquel in Baseball Reference Page of the Day. Hooray Sports!

The baseball/entire world is standing still for the Corona Virus, but never fear. Ack and Kiz have come to the rescue with some baseball content to keep the people sane. They are joined by fellow Stevens Duck alum and current coach Jayson Yano to discuss his background as a California HS player crossing the country to play D3 college ball in NJ, a few of the notable players he played alongside, and his Angels fandom. After getting into Baseball Aesthetics for a bit, they go deeper into coaching with the some of their methods and philosophies. For our Baseball Reference Page of the Day we discuss Mr. Angel, Tim Salmon. Hooray Sports! (we miss you)

The Mets came back from the dead, the Phillies needed a shot in the arm from a Baseball Lifer, the Nats need someone to get bullpen outs, and the Braves are quietly going about their business. It’s the NL East! Ack and Kiz break down all the news from the most interesting division in baseball right now before getting into some Baseball Aesthetics talk and Satchel Paige is featured in this week’s Baseball Reference Page of the Day. Hooray Sports!

Inside the sprawling ranch that Yoenis Cespedes calls homeAck and Kiz have talked about the surprise teams, and the interesting teams, now it’s time to talk about the teams that are just good and were supposed to be good (even if they’ve taken an unexpected route to this point). The Mets are a dumpster fire, the Yankees and Astros are awesome,  Later, the guys talk about Carter Stewart going to the NPB, throwbacks in Baseball Aesthetics, and an impromptu trust the process. Baseball Reference Page of the Day examines the career of David Weathers. Hooray Sports!
